Vans, minibuses and motorhomes from the south of the Waterside

Fawley, Blackfield and Calshot are about 5 miles from our workshop, up the A326. We look after cars from this end of the Waterside, and the bigger vehicles that not every garage can test.

Minibus MOTs

Minibuses are tested by passenger seats, not by length. We test both classes on site:

• 9 to 12 passenger seats: Class 4
• 13 to 16 passenger seats: Class 5

Tell us the seat count when you book. Choose “Minibus” as the vehicle and we’ll check the class before the day.

Before a group trip

A minibus that carries people needs more than a pass certificate once a year. Ahead of a busy term or a long trip, it’s worth a check of the tyres, brakes, lights, seat belts and emergency exits. Book it as a service or a repair, add a note about the trip date, and we’ll work around it.

Work vans up to 3,500kg

Goods vans over 3,000kg design gross weight need a Class 7 MOT, and we test those too. Over 3,500kg is a heavy vehicle test and has to go to a testing station. See van and Class 7 MOTs for the details, and vehicle servicing for keeping a van on schedule.

Motorhomes and campervans

Motorhomes are a Class 4 MOT. We service and repair the base vehicle in our own motorhome bay: engine, brakes, suspension and cab electrics. Spring, before the first trip, is the popular time. See motorhome servicing near the New Forest.

How to get here

From Fawley or Blackfield, take the A326 north through Holbury. From Calshot, pick up the B3053 first. Turn into Hythe and follow the signs for Shore Road. If you’re nearer Holbury or Marchwood, their pages show the route from there.
